Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have the best example to follow for him who hopes for the meeting with Allah and Last Day, and remembers Allah much. (Surah no. 33 al-Ahzab, verse no.21)
When the life of our Prophet is the best example for us?
Dear brothers and sisters we know that the battle of Ahzab was an attack on Madina by a joint army of all the leading Arab tribes consisting 24,000 soldiers. The enemy of Islam seized the Muslims for almost a month; during that time the Muslims suffered great hardships. The weather was very bad and many days they had no food at all. The enemy arches sometimes kept up their attack for hours so that the Muslims did not even have time to offer Prayers. In this critical time the Banu Quraiza broke down their commitment. Now, the Muslims had an enemy within the city as well as another all around. That was the time for the Muslims to prove their faith upon al-Mighty Allah. During those crucial circumstances the firmness and perseverance and the greatest risk was taken by our dearest Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has been quoted by Allah in the Qur’an as the best example for the believers. Allah says: Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have the best example to follow.
The hardship increased the faith of the believers:
When the believers saw the companies, they said: This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us; and Allah and His Messenger had spoken the truth. And it increased them only in faith and acceptance. (Surah no. 33 al-Ahzab, verse no.22)
During that period the strong Muslims say that the companions of unbelief had attacked from all sides they increased, instead of being puzzled or distracted the emotions of submission and faith of the Muslims in the promises of Allah and His Messenger increased more and more. The Muslims said it was the same danger whose information was already given before by Allah and His Messenger. The Muslims proved their true covenant and kept their word. They were in the field and that’s’ why finally Allah the almighty granted victory in favor of the Muslim Ummah. Therefore, as true Muslims in all situations we have to play vital role in favor of Islam and Muslim.
