YWSS Iftar party
YOUTHWAVE Student Society (YWSS), had structured an Iftar Party for the O/A Level students of Gulshan area. ‘IFTAR BASH 2009’ was proudly organized by YWSS Gulshan Branch on 09/09/09, Wednesday on the Auditorium of Manarat Dhaka International College.
Dr. Zakiul Hasan, Central Social Welfare Director of YWSS reminded the students about their role towards the society beside their studies. Zubair Idris, an International Debater and a medical student of UCL, London explained the past glory and the present crisis of the Muslim Ummah around the world. Dr. Qazi Saiful Hoq, Senior teacher of Sir John Wilson School and Uni World Education, Gulshan was present in the program as a special guest. Abdullah Al Mashud, President of the central committee of YWSS was the Chief Guest in the program. Mr. Mashud added in his speech that YWSS had always given a great importance in upgrading the moral values of the English Medium Students and organizing an Iftar Party with speeches from great scholars in just another example. In the program, new YWSS committee of Manarat Dhaka International College and Uni World Education was declared. Milhanur Rahman Nowme as President of Manarat and Mohsin Ahmad as President and Sayem Bhuiyan as Secretary of Uni World was declared.
Around 120, ‘O/A’ level students from various Institutions such as BIT, Manarat, IISC, Uni World, Sterling, Eminencse and other Private students joined the IFTAR BASH 2009. A representative team of Mastermind Community Service Club also came. Among others, Abu Musa, Secretary of the central committee; Masudur Rahman Rana, Secretary; Manzur Ahmad, Organizational Secretary; and Asif Mahmood Abbas, Executive Member of Gulshan Branch were present. The whole program was presided over and concluded by serving delicious Iftars by Kamrul Islam, YWSS President of Gulshan Branch.
