So far as we know Dhaka is going to the first city to have two mayors in spite of protests from different corners govt is going ahead with its plan to provide better services to the citizens. The plan was approved by the cabinet and then the bill was tabled in Parliament, paving the way for division of the 400-year-old city.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. Hope you are fine. We like to be hopeful and the whole world also wants to be hopeful about everything including a Palestinian state. Palestinians along with the downtrodden people of the world are looking forward to the outcomes of the Palestinians’ UN bid for recognition as a fully-fledged state. Fever grips not only the Palestinians and the Arabs but the every Muslim of the world. Hoping that their UN bid will not be hope against hope we are running the cover story of this issue on Palestine. The United States, failing to stop voting in United Nations General Assembly, will not veto in United Nations Security Council.

Dear subscribers

Seemingly the whole world, particularly Muslim world, is experiencing social, economic and political crisis. No one knows what would be the outcome of the Arab Spring. We are afraid about the fate of the 700 crore people of the world as the concentration of wealth goes on unabated among over one crore crorepatis (34 lakh in US, 33 lakh in Asia and 32 lakh in Europe).

See you soon if not media is further gagged.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

In the wake of food waste, accumulation of wealth by 1.5 billion and worldwide want we are running an article on the relation between concentration of wealth, waste of food and the poverty which will frame the cover story of this issue. The cover story is beefed up with the plight of the common people of the subcontinent as a result of the pro-looter policies adopted by the three dynasties in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. In these countries resources are being concentrated in the cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Karachi, Islamabad, Dhaka and Chittagong, depriving the rural areas and agriculture of necessary development funds.

Dear readers

Ramadan — the month of purity and austerity — has again arrived with the message not to accumulate wealth, not to waste it and ultimately putting an end to economic marginalisation because the Quran and famine experts warn the humanity against all these trends. Making jakat an obligatory pillar of Islam Allah has repeatedly encouraged the humanity to give 2.5 per cent of his or her wealth to the poor followed by prayers. Hope you will be deeply moved by the plight of your poor brothers and sisters and abstain from the aforesaid habits. Eid mubarak.

See you soon inshaallah.

Hope all of you are fine. That railway is the one of the most popular mode of transport all around the globe is known to you. But the scenario in Bangladesh is quite opposite in our country. People here dislike a journey by train because of many reasons. Railway improved everywhere even in India and Pakistan where there is a train every after two and six minutes respectively. The cover story tells you the rise and fall of railway in the form of two slippers’ story. You will like it hopefully.

Dear readers

Rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was born in May which is hotter in our country. Nazrul was equally hotter and rebellious not only in his words but also in his works. There are many writers and poets who don’t believe in what he writes let alone practising that. But our great poet both wrote the poem ‘Bidrohi’ to imbue the spirit of rebellion into his countrymen against the autocrats, authoritarians, tyrants, dictators and tyrants and went to jail.

The world now needs those leaders, poets, columnists and other professionals whose works match their words.

Dear readers
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah.
In response to the nuclear and other jeopardy in Japan we are running an article on the nuclear energy debate which will frame the cover story of this issue. The cover story is beefed up with pictures of their plight, making it easy on the eyes. Apart from that we are also publishing a photo gallery with a good number of pictures on Japanese disaster. Hope you will be deeply moved by the plight of your Japanese brothers and sisters when the Youth Wave reaches you.

Dear subscribers
But we are afraid that you will equally be moved by the plight of the common Libyans killed by the coalition forces certainly with the support of those Japanese. Before the US invasion of Iraq the then president Saddam Hussen thought that Russia and China will use their veto powers to stop the aggression. But none of them came forward in the precipitating danger of Iraqis. In the same way Muammar Gaddafi relied on his so-called friends like Russia, China and Italy but the friends betrayed, paving the way for the US-led coalition to kill civilians in the name of democratising and saving them. Probably Saddam killed more or less six thousand of his men but the coalition forces killed more that six lakhs. In a similar way dictator Colonel Gaddafi might have killed several thousand of his African bros and sis but the coalition force can’t kill several lakhs in the name of punishing the Gaddafi. Killing on the pretext of saving is killing. Pre-emptive attack is also amounts to attack. If killings of civilians by the coalition forces in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya are not crime against humanity then we ask the West ‘What is crime against humanity?’ We condemn all the killings and trial of all the killers.
Hope soon there will be an end to coalition forces’ war, death, destruction, conspiracy and starving in Asian-African-LatAm countries. If killing goes on maybe someday even those, who believe in pacifism and non-violent resistance, might grow violent in their protests.
See you soon inshaallah. n

Happy new year to all of you! It is time we looked forward and also to look back to the year we passed. It is time to look forward because we plan a year to make the next year the most contributing one. It is time too to give an askance look to the last year’s plan and the implementation so that we can scrutinize our previous performances. There is no time to spare as you are the future leader of the country. Really hard though you need to count every second and hope you will be able to do so because we foresee a future hero in you.

Dear future leaders

The cover story is nothing but eulogy of the some heroes, who were once at the tender age of you and have shaped up the present-day civilization and its necessities. Their contributions to the society are in everyday use for the modern man. Without internet, search engine and social networking a modern man can go. We praise them to skies for their creativity though the technology mania sometimes turns out to be harmful. Check yourself from the harms of technology, living up to ideals of the great men.

Dear well-wishers

Assalamu alaikum.

Since the dawn of human history people liked traveling which is a nature innate and inbuilt in their psyche. People tend to visit not only places of natural and historic importance but also the technological excellence of the humanity. These people also like to satiate their gargantuan appetite for cross-boundary recipe and experience diverse cultures of communities, giving the tourism industry an enormous shape and diversity. Tourism creates scores of scope for both the guests and the hosts, creating a win-win situation. For guests traveling is a respite from boredom and boxed-up feelings, a source of inspiration, a way to take a second look at their own country, culture and people and thus expand the knowledge as well as outlook.
For hosts it is a source of income, a way to enrich the forex reserve of host country and thus help people to afford trips to the countries of their foreign guests. The relation between hosts and guests is vice versa. With the passage of time a host turns into a guest. The cover story of this issue takes a close look at the tourist spots in the Southeast Asia. Hope you will like the touring of Mr Rashik and Bangladesh with its Cox’s Bazar, Sundarban, Lalbagh fort, Ahsan Manjil, Paharpur, Satgambuz Mosque and the archaeological sites Barabazar in Jessore will be the greatest tourist spot in the region.

Eid Mubarak. See you next if Allah wishes.

Dear subscriber.
Assalamu alaikum. Hope you are fine. So are the Spanish gypsies who are being absorbed, provided with shelter, food and healthcare services. But French gypsies are now passing hard times. They are facing expulsion from the country for which it is being highly censured by European Union, rights groups, international community including Cuba and Iran.
The cover story delves deep into their life, history, occupation, marriage, tradition and taboo. Their happiness, food, clothing, festivals are equally explored. What makes them happy and unhappy is also prominently depicted in the pen picture of the nomads. We expect no country will bar their movement and banish them on lame excuses or for security concerns.
Dear reader
On October 24 the United Nations beaconed hope among the nations at the end of World War II and 77 days after Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Inspite of successes in some areas like peacekeeping the UN has lots of grey areas like failure in stopping wars in Iraq and Afghanistan which see several millions of people killed. There must be Muslim representive with veto power as one out of four is follower of Islam. So that they can get fair share of justice from the UN.
See you next inshaallah.

Dear reader

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah
Eid mubarak as Ramadan nears end for you to celebrate Eid-ul Azha. On such occasion mass people usually tend to eat, drink and merrymaking. The more we eat and drink the more we dispose garbage and PET bottles or plastic containers. Almost none of us except city corporations, paid for waste management though, are much concerned about the piling up waste. And none of us think of the refuses we leave while merrymaking. But most of us don’t do what green activist Jo Royle and his colleagues did. So they hit media across the world. They found PET bottles in and around the city eateries, picnic spots, tourist resorts and beaches and made a ship out of over bottles and sailed out in high seas. And the contributor explores how the petty things transformed into precious catamaran and from the ridiculous to the sublime. The environmentalist-turned-mariners took the journey from America to Australia to create awareness about too many litters and too much leftovers with a call to be self-restraint and thus be sympathetic to the unfed millions.
Dear rational minds
When 100crore people of Mother Earth go to bed without food, a small number affluent people in the west are hell-bent on overeating, overdrinking juices and liquors, and wasting and thus creating unmanageable great garbage patch. Time is running out. If rich people don’t rein in yet the earth is sure to take revenge. It is no more a warning rather revenges in the form of bushfires, floods and other form of disasters have started wrecking havoc in countries.
In fine I would echo Prof Emeritus at the Univ Arizona Guy R McPherson who said, ‘Time to terminate western civilisation before it terminate us.’ See you soon inshaallah.
